Do you get bored easily?

“The greatest threat to success is not failure but boredom”

I have always been spontaneous as a person and I hate doing the same thing over and over again….

But when it came to changing my life, I knew I couldn’t do whatever I felt like it…

I needed to keep putting one foot in front of the other…

I needed to keep progressing…

If I didn’t want to end up like the doctor’s prognosis:

“During chemo you will feel tired so do what you can…

During chemo you will feel sick so eat what you can….”

I was told over and over again…

That mentality wasn’t going to get me the results I wanted…

There were so many horrendous stories I could have hanged on to…

There were so many things I could have accepted….

But instead…

I thought to myself…

I am going to carve my own path…

𝙎𝙤 𝙄 𝙠𝙚𝙚𝙥 𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙬𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙪𝙥 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙡𝙚 𝙙𝙖𝙮 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙄 𝙝𝙖𝙙…

Sometimes I had enough energy to walk around the block….

Other days I had energy to ride my bike for 1 hour, do my weights training etc…

Sometimes I couldn’t even prepare my own food…

Other days I could help my husband with things around the house…

It would have been so easy to give up…

I felt so sick 24/7…

It would have been so easy to skip a day…

𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝗜 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝗮 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗽 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝘆𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗲…

𝗜𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼…

𝗜 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝗮 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗽 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝘆𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗜 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗼𝗼…

𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗜 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁…

𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗹𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗴𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝘆𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳…

So I kept showing up to myself each day…

To this date, I do the same…

4 years later…

This morning I woke up, I meditated then I did my weight training exercises….

I ate my healthy breakfast…

I reminded myself of my goals and brought myself back to my centre a million times…

And it is only lunch time

When my thoughts wondered…

When my mind tries to take control….

Some people will look at this and think it is boring…

It is hard work…

But honestly…

If you have ever sat in a chemo chair being pricked and prodded for over 1 year…

Does my routine seem hard?

Yes I wanted to create a different body, mind and soul…

𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗜 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘆…

Because no I don’t want sit in that chair again…

And I am prepared to do whatever it takes for me to achieve my goals…

So boredom is not in the equation anymore….

This is what I do and who I am.Hope this inspires you today….

To keep going….

In whatever you are doing to achieve the success you are looking for…
