Do you like comedy?

Have you watched Dave Chappelle on Netflix…

OMG! He is just hilarious and touches on everything you can imagine that is considered a “sensitive subject”

Politics, gender, race and the list goes on…

What we don’t realize is that something so simple like laughter is actually very beneficial for our health.

One of the things I realize after my diagnosis is that I was living my life without much laughter and joy because there wasn’t any time for it.

I would be going from one chore to another without enjoying any of it…

Feeling overwhelm

and zero joy…

I realize that I needed to introduce joy in to my life as a therapy and when I look into the science behind it, I couldn’t believe it:

There is a lot of research done in laughter as medicine showing benefits such as:

Relieve of stressresponse by decreasing your heart rate and blood pressure and soothing tension by aiding muscle relaxation

Stimulation of many organs – laughter enhances your intake of oxygen-rich air, stimulates your heart, lungs and muscles, and increases the endorphins that are released by your brain

Improve your immune system – Negative thoughts manifest into chemical reactions that can affect your body by bringing more stress into your system and decreasing your immunity. By contrast, positive thoughts can actually release neuropeptides that help fight stress and potentially more-serious illnesses.

I will stop there because for me everything that correlates with a strong immune system becomes part of what I do daily.

Our immune system is our soldiers that protect against everything daily…

But why are we not embracing more laughter?

We are just not wired for joy…

As hard as it is to admit, this is the truth…

We are wired for survival not joy….

So we need to practice joy…

Joy in every day life….

I take my business and my mission very seriously and today I thought how can I bring more laughter to it?

In actual fact as a person I have a very dark sense of humor and I kinda of think I am funny too!😂

I posted a video on Facebook today with the intention to make people laugh but I would love to share with you my first attempt…

Would you like to watch it?

Ok, I will let you watch it if you let me know which one was the funniest one…

By the way saying that they are both not funny is not an option😁

So here we go…

Send me an email to angelica@angelicaalen.com and let me know your thoughts. I would love to know.
